Outcome Metrics

Outcome metrics measure the quality of what the learner ultimately produced. In AlloPatient, this mainly includes Critical Information and Final Clinical Quality.

These metrics ask whether the learner uncovered the right facts, recognized safety-relevant details, avoided major omissions, and submitted an accurate clinical note or answer.

Examples include missed critical facts, dangerous omissions, medication errors, unsupported AI-generated claims, incomplete safety netting, and poor final documentation.

These measures matter because AI-supported encounters still need to produce clear, safe, clinically useful outputs. The final answer must be accurate, but accuracy alone is not enough if the learner failed to verify or understand how it was produced.
